Groundbreaking News about Roundup (Glyphosate)

Glyphosate is the "active" chemical ingredient in Roundup. Roundup is sprayed on GMO foods, non organic foods as a drying agent, on the soil of non organic fields before planting and on back yard gardens, waterways, school, public roads, sidewalks and parks by the hundreds of millions of pounds per year. In 2013 alone,  the use of Roundup increase 73%.

Mothers have been seeing skyrocketing health issues. Despite our testimonies that our children get better when they avoid GMOs and glyphosate (Roundup) sprayed foods, our officials will only consider scientific studies, if anything.
Although it is unacceptable and infuriating that our leaders no longer listen to their mothers, we are glad for the scientists who are asking the right questions.

The new studies that have come out this week are groundbreaking and will have everyone listening not only to mothers, but to their own conscience, heart and soul...and they will know what needs to be done.

New studies:

Glyphosate causes antibiotic resistance

World Health Organization of UN declares glyphosate "probable carcinogen"

Glyphosate kills human placental cells which can lead to endocrine disruption ( fetal death and deformity)

Glyphosate linked to neurological disease due to manganese chelation

http://www.surgicalneurologyint.com/text.asp?2015/6/1/45/153876

And recently:

Glyphosate Persistence in Sea Water

What does all this mean to mothers? Let's see...
If glyphosate remains viable in dark salty water for 315 days,
causes antibiotic resistance in gut bacteria,                                                                                                                                    is a probable carcinogen,
causes neurological disorders due to the chelation of manganese,                              causes placental cell death which can lead to endocrine disruption (fetal deformity and death), and
white shrimp die at levels above 5.2ppm glyphosate exposure in water after 4 days

We must ask ourselves:
What is in our womb? Dark salty water!
What is the size of a six week old fetus? The size of a shrimp!

How much glyphosate are we allowed to consume in our food?
25 ppm on sugar!
40ppm in vegetable oils!
160 food/feed crops are allowed by the EPA to have levels far above what has been shown to destroy gut bacteria!

grocery_aisles.jpg

Could it be the glyphosate/Roundup sprayed on 80% of GMOs which make up 85-100% of our food/feed crop varieties and is in 85% of America's processed foods?

What could a chemical which is linked to antibiotic resistance, cancer and placental cell death doing to our fetuses, babies and children for generations to come?
Why do we have the highest rate of infertility, sterility , miscarriage and birth defects in recorded history?
Why is the USA #1 for infant deaths on day one?
Why do we have 50% more babies that die on the first day of life  in the USA than all of the industrialized nations combined?

Quote regarding Monsanto's denial that glyphosate is unsafe from a world renowned scientist:

"Monsanto "doesn't know" how the IARC could reach such a "dramatic departure" from the conclusion previously determined by regulatory agencies. I do! It's been obvious to me for some time now that glyphosate causes non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and kidney cancer, and probably also cancer of the thyroid and the pancreas. It's long past time for the world to wake up about the toxicity of this pervasive chemical!"

Moms Across America asks you to share these new studies, talk to your friends and neighbors and ask them to grow, buy and eat organic.
Organic means Non GMO and NO toxic pesticides/herbicides such as Roundup/glyphosate are permitted.
Contamination of organic is happening however,  and we MUST speak up and protect organic standards.
One of the best ways to do that is to attend the National Organic Standards Board meeting 4月 27-30 in San Diego and speak up.
Buy only organic food to reduce the demand for GMO and chemical farming and to speak to your representatives weekly to protect our people.
Cal the EPA and tell them to revoke the license of glyphosate NOW

I remember when I was young how I loved peanut butter on toast just like my dad. I didn’t realiAze how much the taste of peanut butter chAnged through out the years until I bought some organic peanut butter in my late twenties. The taste of the organic peanut butter reminded me of how peanut butter tasted when I was a kid. When I changed my diet to organic it reminded me of my childhood. So Mary I encourage you to bring back hamburger helper in your home and see if it brings you back twenty years. I am sure it won’t. Hamburger helper is not the same as twenty years ago neither is fruit loops. Neither is your diet.

I eat healthier now than I did when raising my children, I’m sorry to say. We ate a lot of casseroles and hamburger helper-type foods because of our busy schedules. Today I steam or roast my veggies instead of soaking them in butter or cheese sauce. Broil my meat instead of fry. But between organic and nonorganic…it simply doesn’t matter from the standpoint of nutrition or safety. I have found that it is all about how you prepare your food…how much you consume in direct correlation with daily exercise that matters more than the way food is grown. Making a concerted effort to choose to eat more wisely is the ticket. There are always going to be healthy people out there living on corn dogs and unhealthy people eating organic kale and vice versa. We’re all different. But, despite the constant barrage of misinformation out there… GMOs play no part in our health issues. It’s a process, not an ingredient. So it makes me sad that people have been made unnecessarily afraid. If even one case of detrimental health was substantiated, farmers would stop growing crops using biotechnology. We want to keep our children, grandchildren, and ourselves as healthy as you do. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.

There has been theories about the processing of baby formula and the “hidden ingredients” a lot of research contributes to early gut issues from the formula. I’m intrigued with your statements. I will say I feel better gluten and dairy free but I will also state that any gluten free processed product I have a reaction to as well. I don’t have enough research to have a friendly debate with you. But I can say the less processed food I eat and the more organic I consume the better I feel. I don’t know many farmers. But the few I have encountered tend to eat less processed food then the every day American. So I guess I’m curious about your consumption of processed food. Just because you grow it doesn’t mean u eat it.

Hi Sheryl – not quite sure where you are going with your questions, but I breastfed my babies for six months and then used formula. My kids had the required series of MMR vaccinations. I wish there had been a chickenpox vaccine then, because my children had horrible outbreaks. And though we weren’t big fans of Fruit Loops…we did eat lots of other cereals. Why?

Mary. Just curious if your kids and family used any baby formula and also curious about if they were fully vaccinated following the current fda vaccination schedule. Also I am assuming front loops or any other kind of processed food was a part of your families daily routine?

Hi Michael Schneblin – hmm. Never responded to my last post. Hope you are rethinking everything you believe to be true about GMOs. Science and medicine side with the safety of biotechnology. Over 26 countries accept gmo crops. Europe imports GMO grain to feed their livestock.

Michael Schneblin – I hate to burst your bubble, but two years ago I had to take every conceivable test known to man in order to donate my kidney to my niece. At the age of 51, I passed every test while not one of my urban family members could get passed the first questions. Our health is based on so many things. Stress, poor diet, genetics. Trying to blame health issues on a process of food production is simply misguided. We all must take responsibility for eating well and keeping fit. Blaming problems on the way food is grown is offensive to those of us actually growing it, because… once again…there have been absolutely no detrimental health issues caused by GMOs. Twenty years and a trillion meals consumed and still counting.

    Mary,

Not to dispute what you’ve experienced, but I would love to have you test your telomeres (the duplicate caps of your chromosomes). The results tell you what your true, biological age is, not just your chronological one.

Telomeres are your biological clock, and with normal wear and tear, the clock runs down. When you reach a certain point, things begin to expire or wear out. This can end up in different parts of the body, depending on the stresses exerted on them over time (e.g. accident, toxins, nutritional deficiencies, stress, etc.). All this to say, you may be a ticking time bomb! ; )

We’re so glad that you and your family have not experienced health issues, but there are those that are more susceptible to these issues because of DNA vulnerabilities. Just like there are long-living genes that allow people to live beyond 100, even when they smoke that cigar or drink that strong shot of liquor, there are those that have a predisposition to cancer.

The positive signals you are receiving from big farm and pharma are a ruse to sell their product. Honest researchers are muzzled, while compliant ones are rewarded.

I began to suffer from arthritis and began taking glucosomine, etc., which kept it barely in check. My family had a susceptibility to it and so I was inclined to accept it. Then I stopped cereal intake for a month and the inflammation subsided almost to nothing. When friends of mine returned to their overseas, home countries, their gluten sensitivities went away, even when they ate their home strains of wheat!

You see, it was not only gluten sensitivity that I had (as everybody has to this strain of American, hybrid wheat), but corporate farmers have begun spraying wheat fields to “kill them & dry them out faster.” Propaganda from Monsanto’s minions. So, now, there is a one-two punch for gluten sufferers, gluten inflammation and gut bacteria loss.

So, anyway, thank you for bringing your story to the light. We can appreciate your integrity and honesty, but PLEASE DON’T BECOME A MONSANTO et al POSTER CHILD FOR THEIR PROPAGANDA!

Thankfully, I can sense your sincerity and discern that you are not the trolls that these corporate bullies send out to confuse and deceive.

Hi Moms. I’m a 50 year old Chicago born and raised woman married to a fourth generation Kansas farmer. My two children and four nieces and nephews grew up living across a GMO field from each other. They played their entire lives next to crops grown using biotechnology. They worked through their teen years cultivating, spraying, and harveating those same fields. They are now healthy…married..and having beautiful babies of their own. I donated my kidney two years ago to a niece in Chicago. I would love to talk to any of you that have questions regarding GMOs. Since we have actually used them since they were introduced to the market, I think we have a perspective and reality to share that you never really hear about.
