Dear President Trump,
Thank you for your stated commitment to ending the chronic disease epidemic in America. Your decision to place Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as the head of HHS sent a powerful signal to millions of Americans who have long felt unheard and unprotected. It gave hope to parents, farmers, doctors, and citizens who have been sounding the alarm for decades.
For that reason, we were deeply concerned by the recent executive order designating glyphosate-based herbicides as critical to national security. If we are speaking about national security, we must speak honestly about the health of the American people.
Glyphosate has only been in use for 50 years. During that time, it has been proven to not only destroy soil quality but to be a human carcinogen, an endocrine disruptor, a cause of thyroid, liver, and kidney disease, and a damage to the reproductive, neurological, and nervous systems. It also increases the harmful impact of other environmental toxins, such as aluminum in vaccines, geoengineering sprays, and household fragrance chemicals.
For thousands of years, agriculture existed without glyphosate. It is false that American farmers need it; they are choosing glyphosate because they are choosing GMO mono-crop farming to primarily feed Asia, which is a fickle customer that drives prices down and puts our farmers' livelihoods at risk. American farmers could instead choose to grow real food to feed Americans, particularly our soldiers and students, who, as Moms Across America (MAA) testing shows, are currently eating more toxins than nutrients.
True national security is healthy families and the ability of the next generation to reproduce and thrive; which will not happen for as long as these pervasive, harmful herbicides are being used on our food supply and in our environment.
Many Americans are doing their best to eat whole foods and live healthier lives. Yet even when people avoid ultra-processed foods and food dyes, they are still exposed daily to harmful herbicides and pesticides in every meal, many of which are banned in other countries due to their links to cancer, infertility, and neurological damage. In addition, children’s bodies are bombarded with toxins found in vaccines through school vaccine mandates, often without informed parental choice. There is also chemical fallout from geoengineering, chronic, (ie: close and constant) exposure to wireless radiation, contaminants in drinking water, such as fluoride and PFAS, and endocrine-disrupting synthetic fragrances that permeate public spaces.
If decisive, large-scale action are taken on these issues, the impact of your presidency would be truly historic. Imagine restoring reproductive health for the majority of Americans. Imagine a generation of children growing up free from chronic disease. Imagine this being the true cure to cancer, by eliminating the root causes that make people sick in the first place.
This is what we believe you can do with executive orders, a stroke of a pen.
These actions would represent a decisive shift toward protecting the American people rather than corporate interests. You have the opportunity to fundamentally change the trajectory of public health in this country and protect millions of lives for generations to come:
-
Rescind the executive order designating glyphosate-based herbicides as critical to national defense, and initiate a national phase-out of glyphosate and other high-toxicity pesticides. Direct federal agencies to transition agricultural policy toward regenerative, organic farming systems that reduce chemical dependency while strengthening long-term soil health, farmer resilience, and national food security.
-
Ban all geoengineering activities.
-
End all vaccine mandates.
-
Ban the most toxic pesticides and herbicides, starting with the 86* already banned in other countries, and PFAS “forever chemical” pesticides.
-
Prohibit cell towers from being placed within one-half mile of schools and playgrounds.
- End the addition of fluoride to public drinking water.
-
Issue an executive order to ban the use of synthetic fragrances in public and rental spaces, including Airbnbs, hotels, car services, train stations, airports, schools, and malls.
Across this country, parents are doing everything they can to protect their children, yet they are too often undermined by systems beyond their control. Addressing these root causes would save countless lives, restore confidence in our institutions, and send a clear message that the health of children, the future of our great country, ALWAYS comes first.
THANK YOU!
With love,
アメリカ中のママ
*Note: If the 86 pesticides and herbicides that are banned in other countries, such as China and EU were banned in the USA, farmers would still have 1,067 pesticides and herbicides available to them in their “tool box.” This is not an unreasonable ask. They are ingenious and can still farm, even more profitably, with regenerative organic farming, and leave a legacy of fertile soil to their grandchildren. Tanzania just banned 805 pesticides!
